SALES/SHIPPING POLICY
Spot’s a Spoiled Dog takes great pride in our custom built furniture and gives priority to quality craftsmanship, quality materials and sound safety practices for your pet. Our company will work to ensure each piece of furniture goes through a quality check list prior to leaving our facilities and due diligence is performed in the construction and assembly of each piece.
- Due to the custom construction of these products, assembly and shipping may take 6 to 9 weeks. Construction of products does not take place until orders and payments are received in full.
- Due to the custom construction and ordering of our products, all sales through Spot’s A Spoiled Dog, Inc. are final. There are no returns or refunds.
- Products will be shipped through a custom carrier and will be shipped in a crated container. Unloading will be the responsibility of the customer and may require a forklift. Certain products may be 500 lbs or heavier. Customers have the option to ship heavier products by a moving company of their choice and have them custom delivered. Spot’s a Spoiled Dog, Inc. takes no responsibility for any shipment shipped in this manner and Customer agrees and understands that any such manner of shipping is wholly the responsibility of Customer. (See freight Policy below)
- It is the customer’s responsibility to order appropriate sized furniture based on individual pet’s size.
- We are not responsible for lost or stolen merchandise returned by customer.
Freight Policy
You will be contacted for delivery date and time by the freight carrier or customer service representative ahead of the scheduled delivery time. Transit times are estimated and are not guaranteed. Common Carrier deliveries are “curbside” delivery only, meaning that the carrier delivers your items to the curb at the delivery address. All deliveries will require that an adult (18 years of age or older) be present to inspect and sign for the shipment. You will be responsible for moving your furniture into your home or business. Under no circumstances can the items be left outside of the house or apartment unattended unless your order is shipped with a small parcel carrier such as FedEx or UPS or you specifically request this in writing to Spot’s A Spoiled Dog, Inc. prior to shipping. If you require “inside delivery,” you must request this service at the time of placing your order for an additional fee and this is limited to ground floor delivery only). The shipper may refuse inside delivery if it is not accessible and will place your furniture in another area onsite of the delivery address if available. If you require lift gate service, you must request this service at the time of placing your order and additional fees will apply. If the Delivery Company is unable to reach you to arrange for delivery; you will be liable for storage fees and/or a second delivery fee. Customers will be charged for any return delivery if no one is available at the time of delivery. If you anticipate or require a delayed shipment, please contact our office. Spot’s A Spoiled Dog, Inc. assumes no liability for any damages of any kind associated with delayed shipments. Our company will endeavor to ensure a prompt and safe delivery, however, Spot’s A Spoiled Dog, Inc. cannot be held responsible in the event that your items arrive later than the estimated date due to your geographic location due to weather, seasonal demand, or other delays beyond our control.
Upon delivery, be sure to inspect the shipment for damage before the driver leaves. All shipments are fully insured while in transit only. If there is visible damage to the packaging, you should immediately open the packaging and inspect the product for damage and contact our office for further instructions. If by chance you reach us outside regular business hours, please only refuse the item in question, and notate the damage to the item(s) and the box(s) in detail on the delivery receipt. It is important to be as detailed and descriptive as possible on the delivery slip before you sign for your items. A signature from you or your designated agent indicates your acceptance; without inspecting the boxes, you are accepting the shipment "as is," “where is” and you will be fully responsible for any replacements (including all freight and/or repair costs if transit related). It is your sole responsibility to ensure you also verify the number of packages delivered to you with the delivery receipt you receive. It is solely your responsibility to use caution when opening your items to prevent scarring from knifes or misplacement of instructions and hardware. Items must be returned in the original shipping containers they were shipped in.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Once you have been issued a tracking number, the order is shipped and can no longer be cancelled or modified. It is the customers' responsibility to ensure the furniture will fit through hallways, doorways, etc. and Spot’s A Spoiled Dog, Inc. is not responsible for any problems associated with whether the furniture does or does not pass through any intended destination in the Customer’s home or place of business. Each item is of specific measurement and Customer is wholly responsible to know the dimensions of the shipping containers. Spot’s A Spoiled Dog, Inc. will not accept returns and is not responsible should your order not fit into your home, or should damages occur due to improper measuring. For remote deliveries, you will be contacted regarding whether your order will be subject to additional shipping charges. In addition, in rare circumstances, unusual or unexpected situations arise due to geographic locations; any such orders may be subject to additional fees and costs associated with the shipping. No additional fees will be charged without notifying the customer and obtaining prior approval.
Failure to return the call from the freight company will result in expensive delays, for which we will not be responsible. “Truckload” deliveries not only require that someone, (you or your agent), must be available at the time of delivery, and you must assist in unloading the trailer. If lift-gate service is needed, please request this service in the comments section of your order form in shopping cart.
All Common Carrier shipments from Spot’s A Spoiled Dog, Inc. locations will be “prepay and add” transactions due upon invoice unless otherwise specified.
Cancellation Policy:
Construction of products does not take place until an order is submitted and paid for in full. Spot’s A Spoiled Dog, Inc. has a 15 day cancellation period from the time the order is submitted. If a customer cancels an order during the 15 day time period, a 20% restocking fee will apply and be reduced from the total refund amount. Order’s cancelled after the 15 day time period and Customers are responsible for the total purchase price and/or subject to increased restocking fees.
